Mechanical Engineer

Vinzenz Brauneck advises and represents a wide range of clients, from individual inventors, startups and medium-sized companies to large corporations, in prosecuting, defending enforcing and contesting intellectual property rights in Germany, Europe and worldwide. One of his main areas of expertise is preparing patent applications for examination at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office. He handles opposition and appeal proceedings as well as infringement and nullity proceedings before the various tribunals, and prepares expert opinions, in the areas of freedom-to-operate, validity and infringement.

As a qualified mechanical engineer with an affinity for all kinds of technology, he mainly advises companies in the fields of automotive technology, compression technology, mechanical and plant engineering and medical technology.

Vinzenz Brauneck has extensive experience in the technical fields of drive and transmission technology, alternative drives, chassis technology, autonomous driving, pressure technology, compressors, pneumatics, hydraulics, measurement and control technology and electrical engineering.

Before qualifying as a patent attorney, he worked as an engineer for vehicle and powertrain development at TESIS DYNAware GmbH. Whilst there, he worked on several projects for BMW Efficient Dynamics.
