Rudi Beyer has many decades of experience in technical fields such as the food processing industry, the machine tool industry (in particular in relation to computer-controlled flexible manufacturing systems), the plastics industry and medical technology, automotive engineering for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and rescue systems, specialized technology for the aviation industry and shock absorber technology. He has been active in patent prosecution and portfolio management in the USA, the Emirates and in Chile.  Rudi Beyer has wide experience in the development of global trademark systems in Europe and Asian countries as well as systems for managing employee inventions in different industrial companies. He also advises start-ups and universities on the valorisation of doctoral theses.

Of note are the major lawsuits Rudi Beyer has overseen in the USA, foremost among them the Molins lawsuit, in which not only the entire German, but also the Japanese and American leading industry players in the field of computer-controlled flexible manufacturing systems were participants and which involved the taking of numerous depositions at home and abroad. Rudi Beyer conducts freedom-to-operate searches and handles patent litigation cases in Germany and overseas. A further focus is on strategic consulting in connection with the assessment of market power relationships.
