Marvin Bäumel is a patent attorney trainee at Maiwald. He works on IP protection in mechanical and plant engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology.

During and after his studies, he gained practical experience in the automotive industry. The areas he focused on were complete vehicles, prototype construction and control, and measurement technology as well as quality management for heat pumps. He also worked as a research assistant in the fields of sealing technology, 3D flow simulations, and smart grids.

His master’s degree focused on motor vehicles and electrical machines and drives. The master’s thesis he authored at the Institute of Automotive Engineering (IFS) was on the early detection of damage to electric powertrains using acoustic systems.
