Marco is a patent attorney trainee at Maiwald. He is primarily concerned with IP protection in the fields of physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and communication technology.

As a physics student, he focused on fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, and in his later meteorology studies on mathematical modelling of large systems. For his master’s thesis, he used machine learning to explore how the inclusion of selected phenomena in the interaction of the stratosphere and troposphere in weather models opens up the possibility of substantially improved forecasts over interseasonal periods.

In addition to having a sound knowledge of various testing methods and measurement technology, Marco Sirbescu has also acquired extensive expertise in medical technology, construction machinery and vehicle technology, in particular polymer electrolyte fuel cell drives.
