Since 2005 Heike has been advising and supporting national and international businesses in all areas of intellectual property protection, competition- and IP-related antitrust law, with particular focus on patent law and the law on employee inventions. She also advises on and prepares IP and technology-related contracts. She has many years of experience in coordinating infringement cases (patents, utility models, supplementary protection certificates) and assists in parallel validity proceedings. Her professional activities are mainly focused on the areas of pharma and life sciences as well as engineering. She also advises and represents clients in M&A transactions and has particular expertise in conducting legal and IP due diligence reviews. She also has wide-ranging expertise in trademark matters.
Heike Röder-Hitschke is a member of the Maiwald UPC Taskforce and is in charge of UPC-related matters at Maiwald. She regularly gives lectures and seminars and publishes in Germany and abroad on topics concerning the Unified Patent Court, on patent and licensing contract law as well as on IP procedural law. Heike also lectures at the Technical University of Dresden.
