Monika joined the Maiwald team in 2019. As a qualified patent attorney, her work mainly focuses on intellectual property protection in the field of engineering.

As an engineer for biomedical technology with special emphasis on ophthalmological technology and biomechanics, Monika initially worked in a medical technology company as development engineer on the refinement and development of medical devices and products used in the treatment and care of tracheostomized and laryngectomized patients. With the aim of optimizing medical devices and equipment and obtaining appropriate patent rights protection for inventors, she switched her focus towards intellectual property protection, utilizing her industrial experience to provide optimal professional advice to clients.
