We are very pleased to congratulate Dr. Laura-Nadine Schuhmacher, Dr. Matthias Hoffmann and Dr. Yu Wang on passing the European Qualifying Examination (EQE).
Laura-Nadine is a patent attorney at Maiwald. Her activities relate mainly to intellectual property protection in the fields of biotechnology, biochemistry and pharmaceuticals. Through her research experience in various laboratories in Germany and the United Kingdom, Laura is particularly knowledgeable in the areas of stem cells research, gene therapy, genome engineering and molecular biology.
Matthias is a patent attorney at Maiwald. His work covers all aspects of patent prosecution in the fields of pharmaceuticals and chemistry.
As a patent attorney at Maiwald, Yu’s responsibilities include German and European patent prosecution, particularly matters related to the protection and enforcement of IP rights in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics and chemistry. Her professional expertise was acquired in the course of her research activities at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. While working on her dissertation there she developed and established the application of a microfluidic detection system for characterizing biochemical processes.
