Lecture at the TU Munich on the topic “Patents in the Pharma and Life Science Sector”

At the invitation of Professor Dr. Christoph Ann, holder of the renowned Chair of Intellectual Property at the TUM School of Management, Dr Marco Stief gave a lecture at the Technical University of Munich on July 11, 2022. In his 90-minute lecture on “Patents in the Pharma and Life Science Sector”, he gave an overview of pharmaceutical patents. After a general introduction as well as the context of economic and health policy, topics such as patent strategies, evergreening, patent abuse, proof of patent infringement, preliminary injunction proceedings and other areas such as data and market exclusivity regulations as well as trademark protection were explained.
