At the 2025 joint symposium, we will together examine selected current aspects of protecting innovations in the U.S. and in Europe considering both pre- and post-grant perspectives.

In particular, the symposium will address the following important topics for today’s practitioners:

2. Machine learning model deployment invention-a case study
3. EPO Enlarged Board of Appeal on prior art status of commercial products – G 1/23
4. U.S. practice on beta versions of software as prior art and U.S. view on G 1/23 like cases
