Our colleague Dr. Marco Stief has been given the honor of contributing the chapters on the Unified Patent Court and Unitary Patent as well as on the special features of research and development in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector in the upcoming “Wündisch/Zirkel, F&E-Verträge, Handbuch für Wissenschaft und Praxis”. The latter deals with the specific legal challenges of research and development in the life sciences sector.
Here, he focuses in particular on the contractual particularities that have developed in this highly regulated area in recent years and decades. In his chapter, he also discusses regulatory and patent law peculiarities in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector as well as the topic of healthcare compliance.
He would like to thank the two editors Sebastian Wündisch and Dr. Markus Zirkel and his co-authors, consisting of renowned practitioners from research institutions, authorities and law firms, for their excellent cooperation, which he believes has resulted in a valuable, if not indispensable, handbook for practitioners working in the field of research and development.
