We are very delighted to be once again recognized by Managing IP (MIP) as “Top Tier Firm” in the IP STARS Ranking 2023. By being awarded in the categories “Patent Prosecution Germany” in Tier 1 and “Patent Disputes (Patent & Trade Mark Attorney Firms) Germany” in Tier 2, Maiwald is considered one of the leading law firms in the field of patent law.
While the prosecution ranking mainly considers pre- and post-registration work, including office proceedings and portfolio management advice, the disputes ranking covers all patent-related disputes as well as enforcement work in and outside the courts. The rankings are for patent disputes and filing/prosecution work and cover more than 60 jurisdictions.
The data for the ranking was collected through research by MIP itself and by analysing publicly available information (e.g. data from courts or intellectual property offices) and existing data from MIP on the firms. For the evaluation, particular attention was paid to expertise, workload, market reputation and record, outcomes achieved for clients and unique strengths in a particular practice area.
